With a small amount of funding, support from two funders who believed in our mission, and the help of a local estate agent, we secured a building ready to rent long-term. In the summer of 2022, volunteers and sanctuary seekers came together to set up the Hub, bringing furniture, creating spaces, and making it a warm, friendly environment.

• Sewing room & craft room
• Meeting room & social dining rooms
• Kitchen & our sunny herb ‘Yarden’
• Our resident artist studio

Our Hub is always buzzing

with activity, offering opportunities to meet new friends, support each other, and practice informal English.

From Signposting and advice for GP visits, school forms, housing issues, Universal Credit, accessing volunteering and training opportunities and job searches
Weekly community lunches that bring people together

Essentials like cookware, clothing, bedding, and shoes for those in need
Social events such as family meals, discos, day trips, and holiday treats
